This summer 2016 we had the incredible opportunity to visit our family in Rheinland Pflaz, Germany for almost two months. We are still enjoying our stay here for a few more weeks before we go back to Mexico, but we decided to share with you our experience from the little trip we made to Berlin last week.
There is no doubt that Berlin is one of our all-time favorite cities in the world. It is a city with a lot of culture, art and history. We loved everything about it, from the food, to the people and of course, the incredible attractions. We only got to stay for 5 days, but we got to see so many things. However, i don’t think there is enough time to discover all the bright places in this big city.
In our stay here, we got to visit many touristic attractions and museums, to learn some more about the history of this country and their culture. We visited the East Side Gallery, the Neues Museum, Pergamon Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Dom, the Reichstag building, and we got to take a tour to visit one of the concentration camps in Berlin, Sachsenhausen. However, we also left some time for shopping and sightseeing, so we visited the Mall of Berlin, as well as some incredible streets with amazing shops like the Hackescher Markt, Friedrichstrasse, among others.
If you are planning on going to Berlin for the summer, we really recommend it. There is just so much to see, so many things to do, that for sure you’ll never get bored. It is a city with so much culture and diversity, that is really worth a visit.
